Having re-acquired the land from our biological ancestors, we wanted to repurpose it and make it flourish as it once did. I had read about highland cows and was fascinated by the prestigious Scottish Gentle Giants. We had the land; there was nothing stopping us from raising our own highland cows! Having re-acquired the land from our biological ancestors, we wanted to repurpose it and make it flourish as it once did. I had read about highland cows and was fascinated by the prestigious Scottish Gentle Giants. We had the land; there was nothing stopping us from raising our own highland cows! From the Navy to Mental Health to the Business World, the category "farmer" did not fall under any of my skills. Needless to say, I began researching and connecting with well known, experienced farmers whom I have learned much from. Fast forward 2 years later, and we now have a fold of 16 highland cows, with 3 more on the way! The learning experience never ends and neither do the magical moments of being part of God's creation, stewarding the land the way God intended, and reaping the blessings of owning a farm!

From being determined before hatching to be a queen, nursing bee, or drone to having a specific job in the hive, honeybees produce for us magical liquid gold that has so many beneficial uses, it is in our best interest to take care of these buzzing creatures!
